Parliamentary Candidate: Jonathan Clamp

Jonathan Clamp was born in London. He is currently the senior manager in the Public Sector division of BT. He advises Local Councils on the use of IT to become more effective in the way that they deliver services to people – so that they provide value for money to their residents. He served as an elected Local Councillor in Kensington and Chelsea from 2002-6.

He is most proud of the project that he led to improve the life chances and educational attainment of children in care. He is passionate about improving social services, health, and housing for people. In particular, he has done a lot of work with disadvantaged children. The lack of youth facilities and activities for young people in Lewisham East is one of his main priorities.

Christine Allison:

Christine lives in Woodyates Road and has worked as a nurse for 28 years.  She is passionate about keeping our community clean and safe.  With her experience in front line community care she is determined to ensure that taxpayers get good quality services at a price we can all afford.

David Britton:

David has been a member of the Council since 1998 and group leader since 2006. He has served on most council committees, and is currently on planning and Vice Chair of Licensing. A retired teacher, he has retained his interest in young people and is an Anglican Reader. David is a local campaigner, who has campaigned on a number of local issues, including Coopers Lane Adult Learning Centre, the Yellow Box and trying to protect the orchard behind Winn Road and Guibal Road.  David believes leadership involves listening as well as talking. He speaks for his constituents as well as to them.

Tom Philpott:

Tom lives in Gables Close, just off Baring Road in the heart of Grove Park.  He volunteers as a governor at Marvels Lane Primary School, sits as a trustee of a local charity and co-ordinates his Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.  For a living Tom works as a manager for a national charity.
