Andre Bourne:
Andre is a candidate for the Forest Hill Ward. Andre writes:
“I am 27 and was brought up in a working class environment by my mother in Paddington, West London; but I have lived in Eliot Bank, Forest Hill for two years now. I went to London Metropolitan University where I graduated in Business Law and Politics. I have since fully qualified at the London School of Law as a Paralegal.
I have been a member of the West Lewisham and Penge Conservative Association since November 2008.
I am an experienced Complaints Adviser specialising in clinical dental treatment for the Regulators of Dentistry. I am also a keen supporter of the RSPCA and have previously done voluntary work for the Mayhew Animal Home. I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures and aim to do a charity trek to see Machu Picchu in the near future.
Kenneth Lemeh:
Kenneth is married with two children aged nine and five. He has lived in Lewisham since 2002 and studied at both London South Bank University and Westminster Business School. Kenneth has an engineering background, specialising in delivering sustainable business solutions. He is particularly interested in encouraging investment in Forest Hill and supporting small business in the area.
Ray Squires:
Ray is a local businessman who has lived in Lewisham for over forty years and Forest Hill for over twenty. He has four children who were all educated locally. He takes a keen interest in education and was a school governor at Adamsrill School for six years. Ray thinks it is time for a change: “Lewisham has one of inner London’s highest council tax rates which has gone up 55% under the current Labour Mayor. We will work with Simon Nundy the Conservative Mayoral candidate to deliver his pledge of a 5% council tax cut in 2011″.
